About the Role


This is a Fixed Term Full Time position for approximately 2.5 years within the Corporate Communications Division to align with the period of project funding.


You will be responsible for creating content across digital and social media channels supporting the RCH National Child Health Poll (NCHP) and Kids Health Information (KHI) for parents and young people.

This is an agile and hands on role that will require input on strategy, planning and measurement, content creation and a collaborative mindset.


What you'll achieve:


  • Translate insights from consumers, clinicians, the NCHP, KHI fact sheets and other clinical sources into different content types, for different audiences and channels.
  • Write, design, film and produce content in a variety of different formats including but not limited to digital copy, podcasts, videos/reels/stories, infographics working with our inhouse Creative Services team to draw on additional production support if needed
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Health Literacy Communications Plan
  • Establish an adolescent focused social media channel and share engaging and ontrend content that aims to build the health literacy of young people.
  • Monitor and analyse social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of content and make datadriven improvements.

Your skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, public relations, multimedia or a related field, or less formal qualifications with substantial experience in the field.
  • Seven to eight years' experience in developing and producing digital content (preferably short form health information) within a large and complex organisation across social media and digital channels
  • Audio visual production/post production skills
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar in tracking performance and developing insights for optimisation
  • The ability to distil and translate clinical health information into accessible language, identify content opportunities and develop content targeted at parents and young people
  • Proven leadership experience
