About the role As Principal Program Advisor in the Publication and Governance team you will lead the development and publication of the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP), as well as support the operational management and reporting of the department's Corridor Preservation Investment Program (CPIP).


Some of your responsibilities will include: - Plan and lead aspects of the annual development and publication of QTRIP in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders, taking a customer-focussed approach, including developing and managing content, data and design elements, drafting briefings, and coordinating timeframes, stakeholder engagement and approvals. Support day-to-day management of CPIP, leading program maturity improvements, providing reporting, analysis and advice where required to support stakeholder engagement and management decisions. Lead and develop business improvement initiatives to enhance the ongoing management and delivery of QTRIP and CPIP governance, policies, processes, procedures, tools and systems. - Prepare and coordinate documentation, communications and briefing material regarding QTRIP and CPIP, including critical analysis of complex program and project issues and developing recommendations, reports, policies, guidelines, submissions, briefs and correspondence. Support manager, represent the team and mentor colleagues to develop and promote best practices, continuous improvement, knowledge-sharing and positive team culture.

To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in leading business improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency of program governance and processes.
  • Experience in program management, including experience using program and project management systems. Strong stakeholder management skills. Track record in managing competing priorities successfully.
