The role


You will work closely with C&IB Client Coverage, CME, Markets and Products teams, as well as Legal, Treasury, Credit Risk, and operations to support business growth and deliver an excellent customer experience.

You will assist in managing the C&IB balance sheet, portfolio shape, asset distribution and capital usage.


This position offers you an opportunity to develop your credit risk, financial analysis, and client relationship skills, and to play an important role in driving superior client outcomes, delivering world class client relationships.


Corporate & Corporate Property run diverse domestic portfolios covering the broad spectrum of diversified operating companies and commercial real estate clients ranging from growing Corporates to ASX top 50 clients.

This requires the delivery of a wide range of financial solutions for our customers with a focus on commercial real estate.


This role will be a great opportunity for an individual who has a passion for property, credit analysis and experience in commercial real estate lending.


The role and Day to day will include:

  • Managing the ongoing monitoring of the risk profile and compliance requirements of assigned client groups, ensuring portfolio hygiene is kept to a satisfactory standard, with accuracy of system data
  • Undertaking financial and credit risk analysis for the preparation of credit submissions, including customer annual reviews and other requests, documentation, and execution for assigned customer groups
  • Driving and embedding quality, consistency, and continuous improved practices / activities in CME, with emphasis on improving the quality of credit submissions, turnaround times and management of business risks
  • The workflow management and collaboration with Client Coverage, Product Specialists, Credit, and client support teams to achieve a seamless customer experience
  • Maintaining an ongoing awareness of NAB's credit policy, credit and market risk and internal risk appetite
  • Driving the desired Enterprise culture within the business unit and across NAB built on trust, effective decisions, strategic agility, and constructive challenge.
  • Attending client meetings where appropriate to support business outcomes and conduct research to develop sector expertise and awareness of market trends
**What you will bring: - Ability to write credit submissions & annual reviews, clearly and succinctly

  • Sound numerical, financial analysis and modelling skills
  • An understanding of risk management
  • Sound knowledge of the Bank's systems, procedures, products & services
  • Strong customer & compliance focus and attention to detail
  • Prior experience in banking, including with credit and compliance processes
  • An understanding of the regulatory and compliance environment
  • A tertiary qualification, with a degree in Business or Finance related disciplines
  • A passion for the Corporate Property sector
