The Role

As a Trainee Early Childhood Educator, you will be providing education and care for children from six weeks to six years of age

Your duties can include:

Supervise and interact with children
Assist with all room routines such as nappy change, rest and sleep, and food service
Greet families and children
Facilitate group time with songs, stories or other activities
Assist children in developing life and learning skills such as selffeeding themselves and toileting
Set up, implement, reset and modify programmed experiences
Assisting the Educators with programming according to the Early Years Learning Framework including writing observations and contributing to planning activities
Ensure that the centre's strict cleaning regime is followed at all times.
Interact and encourage children's play with one another and help guide them in their choices when needed

Requirements:

Own transport (note public transport is not easily accessible at this location)
A genuine love for children and a desire to make early childhood education a longterm career
Strong work ethic
Enthusiasm and lots of energy
Experience working with children
If successful, you will need to obtain a Working With Children Check
Must be able to commit to a 1year traineeship

Strong computer skills

Microsoft Word, PowerPoint etc
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older (on commencement of employment)

**To be eligible for these traineeships you cannot have completed a Certificate III or higher qualification
