About the Position

The Bond University Academic Skills Centre is currently seeking a First Year Transition Learning Advisor to assist first year students transitioning into Bond University by providing numeracy and literacy support through one-on-one appointments for students identified through our internal risk indicators.


Reporting into the General Manager Learning Services, the incumbent will be part of the transitional framework creating and promoting digital resources and study skills workshops specifically for first year students transitioning into Bond.


About the person:


Ideally, the successful applicant will possess:

  • A postgraduate degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in academic advising in a university context
  • Extensive teaching experience in teaching and/or EFL
  • A strong understanding and ability to explain maths concepts clearly
  • Knowledge and experience of academic genres such as research papers, literature reviews, reflections, and lab reports
  • Fluent English with a strong understanding of grammar, academic writing, and presentation skills at all levels of study

Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $ 88,971.10 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
