THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Capital Program Manager this role will see you working in conjunction with the Liquor team within Coles, to provide energy performance management services and guidance towards "together to zero" ambitions.


You will proactively provide cost conservation opportunities for critical and base line capital spend for replacement projects for Refrigeration, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.

Partner with the Liquor team to identify and establish critical programs and delivery of project compliance.


Your key responsibilities will see you:

  • Assist in the administration of the projects from conception to conclusion to meet scope requirements.
  • Develop and forecast critical asset replacement program activity for each FY and communicate to key stakeholders.
  • Undertake projects not limited to refrigeration plant, switchboards, refrigerant loss, cool room, HVAC replacement in Liquor stores.
  • Assist in developing project plans and associated documents as required to meet engineering specifications.
  • Monitor FY spends and provide monthly updated forecasts.
  • At all times, ensure budget costs and timelines are strictly adhered to and report any discrepancies.
  • Act as the key City contact for all Liquor Project Team related enquiries.
  • Ensure all relevant safety regulations and City/Coles policy is adhered to by contractors.
  • Carry out review of ECR's for Refrigeration, Mechanical & Electrical including budget estimates.

To be considered for this role you will be / have:

  • Degree or Diploma in HVAC/Refrigeration/Electrical engineering stream or trade qualified (HVAC/Refrigeration/Electrical)
  • Understanding of capital planning and requirements.
  • Previous experience in refrigeration system design.
  • Knowledge of capital planning and requirements.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining financials, cost analysis and budgets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
