Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the Process engineering team in concept principles through to design and engineering
Lead the review of the existing process engineering practices to understand where, when and how we can improve.
Ensure process designs meet required safety standards and actively participate in HAZOP studies and design reviews
Deliver best practice process designs in accordance with project, time, budget and technical requirements
Develop innovative solutions to complex process and technical problems
Prepare process deliverables such as process design criteria, process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, piping and instrumentation diagrams, process control philosophies, operating cost estimates and study reports
Assist with business development activities and the preparation of proposal documentation
Input to the CAD team to ensure all elements of the design process are incorporated
Review all CAD team outputs to ensure safety, quality and operation standards are met.
Candidate Requirements
Degree Qualified in a Engineering field (Chemical Engineering an advantage)
Strong understanding of the innovation process development strongly desired
Ability to review and correct drafting and modelling work completed by others
Strong communication skills, with an ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and exchange necessary information with ease
Advanced skills with the standard features of the MS Office Suite, including Share Point
Ability to mathematically model process scenarios and engage others through the process
Model process maps to show situational scenarios
Generate P&ID's and PFD's and coach the process engineering team on how to do the same
Enthusiastic, high level of energy, goal driven and tenacious
Ability to work well within a team environment
Must have 10 + years process engineering experience in a design and execute environment
Experience with process supply partners advantageous
Relevant process plant operational experience
Experience in CAD design relevant to Process engineering advantageous
Experience with project management / organisational leadership beneficial
Experience in working in a fast paced, multi-faceted technology environment
