    Are you ready to provide expertise to project/program teams across various technical disciplines while enjoying work-life balance and great career progression opportunities? An exciting position is available for experienced Project Engineers to join the team at Sydney Water.

    Role Overview

    The Project Engineer will be a crucial part of the program delivery wastewater treatment project team in the western region.

    Responsibilities include providing technical assurance and input across water and wastewater treatment facilities, defining requirements for water or wastewater network projects, and contributing to process and system improvements to enhance operational performance, business efficiency, risk management, staff work environment, and user experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide general engineering and construction expertise to internal stakeholders and delivery partners
    Manage technical activities associated with project scoping and delivery
    Ensure engineering and quality project deliverables meet business standards and specifications
    Participate hands-on in the project delivery lifecycle
    Identify key drivers for project success and ensure technically and commercially acceptable outcomes
    Own the technical design scope and decision-making process throughout the project life cycle
    Deliver project outcomes in alignment with stakeholders using clear communication

    Experience and Qualifications

    As a Project Engineer, you should have a tertiary qualification in Engineering, at least 5 years of experience in delivering water and wastewater network assets, knowledge of Sydney Water's services, and practical experience in evaluating, installing, and maintaining network assets.

    Additionally, you should be adept at maintaining effective relationships and leading engineering aspects of medium-risk projects.
    A current Driver's Licence is required.

    Note:
    Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is a prerequisite for this role.
