The Opportunity
We are actively seeking a self-motivated and proactive individual for the role of Maintenance Controller in our Perth office. This role reports to the HAAMC.

Some of your key duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Maintenance scheduling.
  • Monitoring and recording of aircraft hours, cycles, and other information relevant to maintenance scheduling.
  • Monitoring and scheduling of maintenance due and deferred maintenance actions (including deferred defects).
  • Ensuring the review of Airworthiness Directives, Alert / Mandatory Service Bulletins, OEM Chapter 4 & 5 amendments, Service Bulletins, etc. for applicability and compliance.
  • Plan and Control Defect rectification and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Review of Airworthiness Directive / Service Bulletins and administer via the Status report Change Process.
  • Monitor aircraft hours, cycles, maintenance due, deferred maintenance including deferred defects and other information as it relates to maintenance scheduled or unscheduled.
  • Oversight of Scheduling, planning, supervision, and direction of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activity.
  • Monitoring of the performance of contracted work and adherence to any Service Level Agreements

Required Skills and Experience

Additionally, required expertise covers the following:

  • Have held a CASA Instrument of Appointment for Maintenance Controller or CASA Approval as Head of airworthiness.
  • Have written Procedures, Process and Aviation Documents including System of Maintenance and OMELs.
  • Experience using Ramco desirable; however, use of other Computer Maintenance Management System Software essential.
  • Sound knowledge of CASA Regulations CASRs, CARs, CAOs, CAAPs, ACs.
  • Knowledge of EASA, FAA Regulations.
  • Have a qualification in aviation maintenance management at least at diploma level.
The following skills and experience are desired but not required:

  • Hold, or have held and aircraft engineer licence in category B1, B2 or C on either S92A or AW139 Aircraft or similar.
  • Previous CASR Part 42 experience.
  • Sound knowledge and ability to use computers and related technology efficiently.
  • High level of grammar, word choice, and sentence structure in your writing skills.
  • Quality and Safety Management System knowledge.
  • Previous Head of Airworthiness Experience
