About the Role

The Engineering Manager provides oversight and strategic direction to deliver both in-house and integrated vendor solutions in the exciting world of digital banking, cards and payments.

We are looking for a leader, who is passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices.

This role is responsible for the delivery and health of the platforms in the integration domain.

You will work closely with the other Engineering Managers, as well as the architecture, product and design teams whilst collaborating with various business domains as we build a digital bank of the future.

You will guide a team of engineers, mentoring them through the journey and providing technical and architectural leadership as we build best in the breed banking services for our customers.


You'll work in a collaborative and thought-provoking environment, which encourages diversity of thought and creative solutions for of our customers.

This role serves the people in these multi-functional engineering teams through hiring, coaching, mentoring, assisting in their career development and by being an inspiration for them to be successful.

You will provide smart engineering ways to experiment and prototype features rapidly whilst constantly delivering customer value.


About you
years demonstratable experience of leading and managing software engineering teams.

  • Software design, development and integration, using.
Net and C#.

  • Key focus of implementing industry best software engineering standards and practices.
  • Solid experience in building API integration solutions in Azure, Cloud DevOps, CI/ CD pipelines.
  • Building and executing enterprise API Strategy. API design, development and deployment to cloud systems.
  • Operational experience in running critical production services.
  • A track record of estimating, designing, executing and delivering results.
  • A sound understanding of the software delivery capabilities required to be successful in DevOps transformation.
  • Demonstratable ability to visualise key metrics and use them to drive success in strategic initiatives by unlocking trust and empathy across various divisions.
  • Open Banking, Digital Banking, Card and Payments highly desirable.
