We are searching for someone who has experience within the following job descriptions.

Duties and Responsibilities Install, move, repair, and modify telecommunications and related equipment according to job order specifications, standards, and procedures

  • Ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools, assessing installation site, and preparing an installation diagram.
  • Managed work crews by enforcing policies and procedures, assigning tasks, scheduling projects, and training new employees
  • Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables, recording configuration diagrams and specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the quality, efficiency, and delivery of all telecommunications services.
  • Selecting tools, equipment, and/or materials from storage and transport items to work site
  • Cleaning work areas, machines, or equipment, to maintain a clean and safe job site
  • Maintained network by troubleshooting and repairing diagnosis and repair of faults, and the selection and installation of equipment and support telecommunications engineering about them
  • Planed network installations by studying customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Established internet and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables.
  • Installation of Internet for premises installations ran the cable, installed network outlets, and performed testing.
  • Installed network cabling for wireless internet capabilities.
  • Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages.
  • Monitor complex telecommunication networks and data for technical advice and information
  • Planed network installations by studying customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Read and interpreted customer service orders, repair order, technical drawings, maps, blueprints, diagrams, etc.
  • Connected with other customers, suppliers and external resources and monitoring contractual obligations and performance delivery
  • Maintained network by troubleshooting and repairing diagnosis and repair of faults, and the selection and installation of equipment and provide operational support about them.
  • Followed standards and procedures to maintain safe work environment.
  • Accurately estimated time and materials costs for projects.
  • Consistently assumed additional responsibilities
  • Excellent knowledge of material and chemical properties of asbestos
  • Removed asbestos material and other dangerous materials from worksites on a regular basis. Oversaw maintenance and cleaning of waste removal equipment. Arranged for packaging and transport of appropriate waste materials.
  • Selecting tools, equipment, and/or materials from storage and transport items to work site
  • Cleaning work areas, machines, or equipment, to maintain a clean and safe job site
  • Pit Installation over network
Skills Required

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Proven experience working in a technical operations role in a telco and/or service provider networks implementing and maintaining networks and systems.
  • Experience with installing and repairing network equipment
  • Strong understanding of health and safety compliance requirements
  • White Card
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Pit Pipe and Cable Hauling Certificate
  • Asbestos Removal Certificate
  • Supervise Asbestos Removal Certificate
  • NSW Drivers Licence
  • WPA (Work Place Assesment)

Education and Previous Experience Required
3 years experience in a similar role/industry (preferred)
Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (preferred)
Education and Previous Experience Required


Working Arrangements
Full-time
Permitted to work permanently and with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Saturday
  • Working hours are flexible
  • Sometimes need to work in countryside as well
