Reporting to the Manager, Aviation & Village, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of all aircraft movements at West Musgrave ensuring the serviceability of the aerodrome remains operational at all times.


You will be responsible for the ongoing daily inspections, performance of aerodrome works, maintenance, and operation of all supporting infrastructure both airside and landside within our dedicated aerodrome while also championing our Culture and our "We Care" approach, which underscores our commitment to a positive workplace environment and our dedication to the wellbeing of our employees and the community.


  • Service all inbound and outbound air services to and from West Musgrave in accordance with the requirements of operating a Certified Aerodrome (Charter, RFDS, Medivac, Private)
  • Safe service delivery as per rules and regulations as it relates to aerodrome work duties MOS139, West Musgrave Aerodrome Manual, Safety Management Systems and relevant protocols and procedures
  • Conduct safe and efficient baggage handling and refuelling operations
  • Conduct daily serviceability inspections
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to determine appropriate repairs or replacements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance IAW maintenance manuals for assets and equipment to minimise downtime and increase the lifespan of equipment.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective repairs


  • About You

  • Experience in an aviation environment, including servicing large passenger turbo fan aircraft (F100,E190,B737,A320)
  • Relevant Aerodrome Reporting Officer/Works Safety Officer qualification attained through a RTO
  • Hold an Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate
  • Either hold or willing to attain Certificate III Public Safety (Emergency and Firefighting) or Certificate III Mines Rescue Response or equivalent, Confined Space Rescue UOC in Drug and Alcohol Testing
  • Experience in Major Hazard Facility Emergency Response
  • Current and ability to hold a Manual Drivers Licence
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to aerodrome operations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills for reporting and collaborating with colleagues.
  • This role may require the ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks related to maintenance and repair activities.
  • Experience in Emergency Services related roles advantageous, however not mandatory
