Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Catholic Systemic Schools and eight Early Learning Centres.


About the role


The position of Web Publisher and Digital Enhancement Officer requires the incumbent to communicate the hope, joy and wonder of a Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn through managing websites, intranet pages and publishing engaging content which reflects the CECG style guide.


This role provides high level support and technical knowledge to update websites and intranet pages, working with a broad range of internal stakeholders.

The incumbent delivers timely online updates, troubleshoots web content issues, undertakes search engine optimisation (SEO) activities, reports on insights and analytics, supports a range of communications activities, and contributes to the development and delivery of key enhancement initiatives.


Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the CECG external website and intranet by creating engaging readerfriendly web pages to enrich the user experience.
  • Manage and provide support for multiple websites including future developments, digital enhancements, content planning, editing and general updates.
  • Work closely with the Senior Manager Public Relations, Communications and Marketing to help deliver marketing and communication campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Manage content and technical updates to the content management systems (CMS) and its associated modules and plugins, to ensure the sites are up to date.
  • Support the audiovisual needs of CECG events, websites, and publications.
  • Support the development of a strategy to increase web traffic using data analysis.

Essential criteria

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and content management systems such as LiveTiles, Squiz, Drupal, WordPress, or SharePoint.
  • Strong knowledge of web platforms, tools and processes and with the ability to edit WordPress and SharePoint sites, libraries, subsites and collections.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and build rapport.
  • Intermediate experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite to create, format and export assets for digital content
  • Intermediate graphic design skills to support the Senior Manager with CECG publications, digital and social media channels, advertising and marketing collateral.
  • Tertiary qualification in web development, web publishing, marketing, business communications or design.
  • Ability to obtain a valid Working With Vulnerable People card for ACT or a Working With Children Check for NSW.
