About the Position:


We are on the hunt for an engineering intern who will develop their skills in solar design, expand their knowledge of business-case development and gain valuable industrial experience in a leader in the Australian commercial solar sector.

The position will be
part-time, approximately 1 day per week to fulfill Industrial Training Requirements. The position is located in Sydney CBD.

We support flexible working from home and team is designed to work remotely, but do require attendance in the office during the on-boarding and training stages.


Development Objectives
The following skills will be developed throughout the internship:
Design

  • Learning mechanical design principles of solar photovoltaic systems
  • Understanding effective management of technical and commercial design optimisation objectives
Process Improvement

  • Analyse engineering processes to increase efficiency and quality
  • Assist with the implementation of Quality Assurance & Quality Control
Professional Development

  • Confidently engage with subcontractors to review documentation and deliverables
  • Communication and participation in crossfunctional teams

About You:

You are someone who has a positive can-do attitude and is eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. You must have great critical thinking skills.

We are looking for someone with with passion, who is open to ideas and ready to bring new ones to the table, with an eye for detail and a drive to succeed.


Requirements and Skills:


  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate renewable energy engineering program
  • Excellent communication, to both internal and external stakeholders, both written and verbal
  • Great attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to work autonomously whilst being a strong team player
  • Selfmotivated, proactive problemsolver

Details

Job Type:
Part-time, Temporary, Flexible Days & Hours, 60 total days over the course of the calendar year.


Salary:
N/A - University Industrial Training Requirement Fulfillment


COVID-19 considerations:
All employees must be vaccinated to attend the office. Demonstrated medical exceptions are permitted.
