  • This role will lead and deliver, in conjunction with the Manager, exceptional service of department and practices to ensure an industry leading customer service experience.

This positon is suited to someone who may have worked as a Practice Manager seeking Hospital experience or someone with previous management experience looking to take their next career step.

As the Estimations Officer & Administration Team Leader your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform a broad range of administration duties as directed by the Administration Manager including Preadmissions, bookings
  • Undertake financial estimates/quotations for private, international and uninsured patients
  • Provide accurate, informed written quotation for patients' intended period of hospitalisation
  • Communicating with Doctors and practice managers to provide fees estimates for patients
  • Effective management of eligibility checks for both private and internationally insured patients, patient admissions and discharge documentation and collecting monies
  • Meet and greeting patients, visitors and staff at the front desk as required
  • Ensure efficient workflow processes are followed and team performance and KPIs are reported on and maintained.
  • Rostering of administration staff on Kronos
  • Assist the Administration Manager in department operations
  • Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
  • Coordinate with staff from other departments
  • Be a point of call for your team and troubleshoot

Essential Criteria:


  • Authority to Work in Australia
  • Patient Administration System experience (Eg
  • WebPAS)
  • Experience as a Manager or Team leader in an Administration setting
  • Knowledge of Health Fund contracts and Private Health Insurance
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills including Excel & Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet KPI's in a fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word and experience with Excel)
  • Works well independently and within a team

Desirable Criteria:


  • Accounting or Bookkeeping qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Hospital environment
