What you'll do:


As a GM Project Delivery, you have a key role in providing strategic leadership, building and mentoring project delivery capability, optimising project delivery methodologies and timelines, ensuring quality outcomes and cost-effectiveness, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to achieve exceptional outcomes.


  • Ensuring projects are delivered with safety as a number one priority and focus.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans that result in the successful delivery of renewable energy, clean fuel, and energy storage projects, contributing directly to the advancement of ATCO's strategy and market leadership.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align project objectives with the overall business strategy.
  • Provide handson oversight of project execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Establish a Project Management Office function for the establishment and retention of continuously improving project delivery capability, systems, best practice and knowledge
  • Implement efficient project management processes and integrated management systems to streamline operations and enhance project delivery capabilities.
  • Work closely with other departments, including Engineering, Business Development, Procurement, Commercial, Corporate Affairs and Finance to ensure seamless collaboration, internal and external stakeholder engagement and integration of efforts.
  • Act as a liaison between Project Delivery and other functional areas to address projectrelated dependencies and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Finance department to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Implement financial controls to monitor project costs and optimize resource allocation.
  • Lead risk assessment and mitigation efforts, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of project challenges.
  • Enforce quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards in project delivery.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Project Delivery team.

Skills & Experience

  • University degree qualification in Engineering or Project Management
  • At least 10 years' experience in project management of complex projects within the energy sector
  • Leadership experience in the development, design, delivery and commissioning stages of the project life cycle
  • Strong understanding of renewable, clean fuel technologies and energy storage solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage crossfunctional teams.
  • Indepth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering largescale projects in the renewable energy, clean fuel, or energy storage industry.
  • Experience in overseeing projects from initiation to completion, demonstrating the ability to navigate complexities and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Expertise in risk management and the ability to implement effective mitigation strategies.
