Our client, a major Oil and Gas Operator is currently seeking a HSE Specialist for a 12month contract with potential to extend, this position will be residential to Onslow

Duties & Responsibilities:

***The HSE Specialist is part of the Wheatstone HSE team, based on Onslow. The position provides coaching and guidance in the safe and environmentally responsible execution of work scopes and supports the execution of emergency management practices.

Undertaking safeguard assurance verification and validation activities for highconsequence work scopes
Facilitating incident investigations and learning events using company approved incident investigation methodologies (e.g., 5Whys, SAFE, Whytree and Learning Teams)
Building productive working relationships across HSE, Business Partners and other support teams to facilitate alignment and execution efficiency of HSE activities and processes.
Facilitating the execution of emergency management processes on site.

Qualifications & Requirements

Practical understanding of updated OE management system and Human and Organizational (HOP) concepts, to support fatality and serious incident prevention efforts.
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build respectful and trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders including site leaders and the broader workforce including frontline personnel and business partners.
Demonstrated ability to be a visible HSE professional that adjusts communication styles to influence improvements in fatality and serious incident prevention efforts and act as a conduit for the workforce to raise barriers to HSE performance and share learning opportunities.
Qualifications in HSE
Minimum 7 years of HSE experience
Experience in working in a resource company operating site, in health, safety and emergency management
Experience working on an Oil and Gas facility
Open to relocating to Onslow for 12 months
