- 10 week contract

Fremantle WA
The Events Coordinator is responsible for managing the planning and delivery of the organisation's annual events calendar and functions.

The key responsibilities of the position are:

  • Contribute to the development of, and manage the planning and delivery of the annual events calendar.
  • Create and manage the delivery of event experiences that supports organisational goals, develops business and community relations, and generates revenue and maximises returns.
  • Coordinate and prepare project plans and operational event planning processes and schedules including budgets, resource requirements and stakeholder consultation to enable delivery.
  • Assist in determining, and coordinating operational support and logístical requirements for external events and functions including security, staffing, brand management, crowd management, transport.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders (internally and externally) to grow new events/functions opportunities, and communicate closely with stakeholders/customers and providers throughout event planning and delivery.
  • Monitor and report on the effective delivery of events and functions including financial information and visitor/customer experience.
  • Identify and recommend ongoing improvements in event and function planning and delivery.
  • Assist in setting the annual budget for the event and function business unit.

Essential Skills and Experience
***- Strong experience in major event organisation and management.

  • Proven ability in generating and growing new business opportunities.
  • Strong expertise in project planning & implementation including budget preparation and evaluation.
  • Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills, including the ability present to a range of audiences.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, including the ability to build and maintain productive internal and external relationships.
  • Highly developed problem solving skills, with the ability to exercise initiative and provide innovative and creative solutions to problems and issues.**_NB: A current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check will be required prior to commencement_
