Description

Police Communications Operators work within a team that is committed to providing high quality, client focused triple zero call taking and dispatch services across Queensland in response to community requests for assistance.

Duties will include:

Answer 000 emergency calls for service from the public in challenging situations
Answer routine telephone requests for assistance from the public
Accurately record important information from callers
Identify and allocate resources to life threatening or significant situations
Accurately relay information to operational police officers

Police Communications Operators are required to work shift work, including weekends and public holidays

About you:

Great communications skills, effective listening, showing appropriate empathy
Maintain calm resilient composure in stressful situations
Demonstrate the highest standard of professional conduct
Use software and equipment to quickly and accurately record and complete tasks under time pressure
Ability to work in a team environment
Experienced in customer service, sales, call centre, reception duties and looking for a change that can make a difference in people's lives
