About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a talented senior finance professional to join this privately owned and operated organisation. As the CFO, you will report directly to and partner with the CEO and board.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing SME and oversee the operational finance team in day-to-day functions whilst also providing strategic direction to assist decision making abilities.
This role is well suited to an experienced Financial Controller looking for an opportunity to move into a fully fledged CFO role, or alternatively an existing CFO aiming to continue down this career path.
The CFO will be responsible for:
- Management and oversight of financial reporting, regulatory obligations and budgetary compliance and governance
- Lead, manage and develop a finance team of six
- Own yearend functions, reporting and audit processes
- Budget build process in conjunction with operational managers and CEO (including modelling various strategies/operational scenarios)
- Anticipate operational and capital needs and identify appropriate financing and procurement methods
- Oversee business advisory, performance and reporting requirements
- Providing recommendations to the ELT around the financial soundness of daytoday business operations and decisions
- Shape collaborative relationships, partnerships and networks to share information, build culture and facilitate input into decision making
- Identify areas for improvement, drive and implement process and system enhancements

- Strong people leadership skills including developing culture and fostering employee engagement
- Hold formal qualifications (CA/CPA) and considerable practical experience in reporting and control in a Financial Controller, CFO or equivalent position
- Demonstrated experience managing both technical and strategic finance functions
- A strong conceptual thinker, with a high level of financial and commercial acumen
