Strategy Associate
**The opportunity

As a Strategy Associate in the APAC Customer and Strategy team, you will support the team across all areas of the Bupa Health Insurance and Health Services businesses.

You will be required to problem solve, dive deep into financial and activity data, develop presentations, reports and board papers and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders across the business, all with the purpose of bringing our global 3x6 strategy to life.


This is a permanent full-time position, with location flexibility, noting Head Office is in Melbourne with the team located across the east coast of Australia. (Bupa offers hybrid working arrangements and you can work from the office or from home).

How will I help?
The role of the Strategy Associate is dynamic and fast paced.

You will be required to share a blend of flexibility, structured thinking, disciplined execution and empathy to manage competing demands and deliver high quality work.

It is essential to have an insatiable appetite for learning, particularly in strategy, strategic planning, design-thinking, customer health trends and healthcare.

You will be a data whiz, easily able to link data sets, and develop and present meaningful insights to support decision making.


Your everyday tasks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing problem-statements and issues trees to frame strategic problems
  • Developing actionable insights and recommendations by conducting data driven analysis that utilises various data sources (both qualitative and quantitively) to support decisionmaking
  • Presenting strategic findings and facilitate conversations to affirm and/or refine recommendations
  • Developing key documents for the Bupa APAC annual strategic planning process, in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Writing APAC papers and presentations for key executive forums
  • Presenting and gain consensus of stakeholders through your ability to link data and insights into execution plans (timings, roles, actions, priorities)

What do I need?

  • Bachelor's degree (business / economics / finance or equivalent) with outstanding academic record
  • At least 2 years' experience in a consulting, private equity or corporate strategy environment
  • Advanced data analytics and financial modelling skills
  • Experience translating insight into strategy and action
  • Strong written presentation skills with the ability to prepare compelling, persuasive reports and presentations
