As the Medical Head, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic leadership and oversight of medical affairs.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring the highest standards of medical excellence, compliance, and patient safety, while driving the development and implementation of impactful medical strategies and initiatives.


Jobs to be done:

  • Medical Strategy Development: Develop and execute the medical strategy in alignment with the organisation's goals and objectives. This involves assessing market trends, competitive landscape, and scientific advancements to identify opportunities for medical innovation and growth.
  • Medical Affairs Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the medical affairs team. Foster a collaborative and highperforming team environment, ensuring effective communication and coordination of activities.
  • Key Opinion Leader (KOL)

Engagement:
Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, medical experts, and healthcare professionals.

Engage with external stakeholders to gather insights, support scientific exchange, and foster collaborations that contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge and patient care.


  • Clinical Development and Research: Oversee clinical development programs and research activities. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and research and development, to ensure the successful execution of clinical trials, data analysis, and publication of.
  • Healthcare Advocacy and External

Engagement:
Represent the organization at medical conferences, scientific meetings, and healthcare forums. Engage with healthcare organizations, patient advocacy groups, and regulatory bodies to contribute to healthcare policy development and advocate for patient-centric approaches

Role Requirements

Your Experience:

  • Medical degree (MD) or equivalent, with specialisation in a relevant therapeutic area.
  • Advanced degree (PhD or equivalent) in a scientific or healthcarerelated field is desirable.
  • Substantial experience in medical affairs or clinical development within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent understanding of medical and regulatory requirements, including clinical trial design, pharmacovigilance, and compliance.
  • Indepth knowledge of therapeutic areas relevant to the organization's portfolio.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate scientific insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex medical information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of healthcare policy, patient advocacy, and healthcare market dynamics
  • Strong ethical and compliance orientation, with a commitment to patient safety and scientific integrity
