We represent a leading international construction contractor who operates across Australia, New Zealand and PNG. They deliver large complex infrastructure projects to key construction industry participants.

The Team
Our client's collegiate in-house legal team provides commercial legal advice and general legal support to the wider business.

The Role

This role will see you supporting to the Deputy General Counsel with compliance and governance work as well as employment law and advice regarding construction law.

In particular, you will be responsible for:

Advising on ethics & compliance issues and reporting to shareholders;
Preparing risk management plans;
Negotiating contracts with clients; and
Advising project teams through the full project lifecycle on contract & administration issues.

About You
Our client is seeking a lawyer with

Exposure to engineering and construction contracts, with the opportunity to be trained in this regard;
Excellent communication and drafting skills
Experience with risk assessment and mitigation; and
Demonstrated commercial acumen.
