Position Summary:

To work therapeutically with clients whilst following all company policies and procedures. To work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, showing professionalism and commitment. To actively engage with clients in the community in a way that is accessible, flexible, supportive and client focused. Responsible for working autonomously in duties and will be provided adequate supervision and support. To liaise with the NDIS and relevant agencies to advocate for funding and link clients with the appropriate services.


Assist NDIS participants to implement their plan and increase their capacity to maintain choice and control in their service schedule.

Strengthen their support network and maximise value for money in their required services and purchased items.


Work with clients in the Employee Assistance Program face to face or through telehealth to support them to perform best in the work-place and resolve challenges.

Increase their capacity to cope, build resilience and achieve goals.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:


  • This position involves providing therapeutic sessions to clients across the lifespan, clients sessions will primarily be funded by NDIS and may be conducted as outreach in the community
  • Select and administer therapeutic assessment tools and formulate therapeutic intervention plans tailored to meet the clients individual presenting needs
  • Be open to working with clients who present with a range of needs, disabilities, age, gender and diverse cultural back grounds
  • Identify and manage risk and responding effectively whilst drawing on a range of theoretical frameworks
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, organisations and stake holders as required and be pro-active in developing professional relationships in the community
  • Attend case review meetings and stake holder meetings as required to ensure co-ordination across client care teams
  • Complete case notes, reports, letters and all other required administration duties to a high standard and as outlined in company protocol
  • Comply with court attendance or subpoena requests if required for clients
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow security protocols in relation to client files and information
  • Participate in supervision and professional development
  • Budget clients funding, plan support schedule and review plan and client needs regularly
  • Answer queries, obtain quotes and provide accurate information relative to NDIS
  • Track and report on billable hours

Specific Competencies Required:


  • Has related qualification (e.g. counselling, psychology, social work, community support)
  • Has experience working with vulnerable people
  • Undergo a Working with Children's Check and police check
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate level of supervision
  • Ability to maintain service delivery standards, follow instructions and adapt to change
  • Willingness to undertake further courses for continuous improvement
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written to a diverse audience
  • Sound technical skills and knowledge operating required IT systems for case management and reporting requirements
  • Ability to work with others, manage conflict and provide resolution where possible
  • Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritise task appropriately and be productive
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to remain calm and supportive in mental health emergencies or crises interventions
  • Demonstrate sound judgement and maintain confidentiality
  • Take care in work health safety practices and be responsible in the workplace
  • Ability to listen and reflect on constructive feedback
  • Ability to engage creatively, maintain a case load and be responsible for managing any risk
