The Learning and Design Lead is responsible for developing and designing learning solutions that are in line with established and emerging best practices, that meet business requirements and are suitable for multi-channel delivery (for example, digital, face to face, virtual or on-the-job).

Description


Reporting to the Head of HR and Training, the Learning and Design Lead will bring learning content to life through the design and development of engaging and creative learning experiences to complement a contemporary learning delivery approach.


You will:


  • Develop exceptional learning solutions and resources by using contemporary instructional design methodologies, with the goal to improve performance and build leadership and technical capability.
  • Design highquality instructional material through story boarding for online learning programs.
  • Identify target audiences and work with Head of HR and Training to identify specific training needs.
  • Identify and implement continual improvement to learning programs, resources, and activities.
  • Lead a high performing Learning and Design Team, ensuring exceptional delivery and customer service to Adecco DFR and wider DFR business.
  • Ensure delivery and output is aligned to the Training and Development Plan, and the priorities of the wider HR and Training team.
  • Establish ongoing data collection to measure the impact, effectiveness, and return on investment of L&D initiatives, and create insights that inform decisionmaking and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain currency of knowledge of learning and instructional design best practice, technology and innovations.
  • Source and collaborate with external learning partners to deliver exceptional, best practice learning solutions/outcomes.
  • Lead a high performing, supported and engaged team, focussed on the development of individuals skills, capability and career goals. Develop, manage, and maintain a highly collaborative and servicebased relationship with the client: the Australian Defence Force

Profile


To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a senior instructional design role and a true passion for the learning and design space.

You will bring a unique ability to balance the creative requirements of the role with the requirements of the organisation and client.


Your background will demonstrate:


  • Extensive experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and learning methodologies.
  • Proven track record of creating innovative and engaging learning experiences across various mediums, including elearning, virtual classrooms, and blended learning approaches.
  • Proficiency in using instructional design software and tools, such as Camptasia and Moodle based platforms.
  • Ability to analyse training needs, conduct assessments, and develop training strategies to address organisational goals and objectives.
  • Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of learning programs through data analysis and feedback collection and making datadriven improvements.
  • Experience in leading a high performing instructional design team or a desire to stretch beyond current role and step into a rewarding leadership opportunity.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other technology platforms used for learning delivery and tracking.
