In the role of Manager (Real Time Systems) you will play a critical role in the Program ensuring the Suppliers' real time system is fit for purpose through the systems development lifecycle with effective management of software and hardware configuration controls and appropriate alignment to TMR and best practice systems engineering standards.


Accountabilities include:


  • Provide indepth expertise to the Program across the complex core systems solution area including a sound understanding of customer facing digital solutions and real time system solutions.
  • Ensure the Suppliers real time system solution architecture, design and developed solution meets requirements, relevant technical standards, legislation, and industry best practice.
  • Lead and participate in systems engineering workshops for the real time system solutions, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and ensure suitability acceptability of the solutions.
  • Lead and participate in formal technical reviews of the Supplier's real time system solution and deliverables.
  • Monitor the progress of Supplier's deliverables to provide assurance to the Smart Ticketing Executive that progress is running to plan. Request corrective action/remediation plans where slippage is evident.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholder sin relation to the Supplier's real time system deliverables and solutions.
  • Provide guidance to the TMR Testing team on the complex aspects of real time systems solution that require a higher level of testing focus.
  • Ensure all relevant aspects of the real time systems architecture, design and delivery have been documented to enable ongoing support and maintenance in operations.
  • Perform complex change impact assessments and associated estimating against proposed Variations.
  • Use suitable analysis, interpretation, conceptualisation, and evaluation skills to prepare high level submissions, briefs, briefing notes, ministerial papers, and periodic status summary reports.
  • Leadership and people management including the management of recruitment, performance, development, team communication, and ensuring a safe and diverse work environment.
  • Management functions including business planning, financial management, governance and other responsibilities as legislated in the Public Service Act 2008 to ensure delivery of a responsive, effective and efficient services to the community and the Government.
  • Other accountabilities and tasks as reasonably directed.
