What you'll be doing

The Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre Westmead is based at Westmead Hospital, and serves a large area across western Sydney, which is home to more than one million people.


This position is responsible to the Cancer Care Pharmacy Coordinator for providing technical pharmacy support and assistance with the provision of cancer treatments with respect to cancer clinical trials, chemotherapy reconstitution, inventory management and dispensing services to patients in the cancer care services setting.

Essential Criteria:


Qualification:
Pharmacy Technician Grade - Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support OR has qualifications deemed to be equivalent.


Selection Criteria:


  • Demonstrated good communication skills.
  • Demonstrated satisfactory hospital pharmacy experience in Australia (or equivalent) as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Demonstrated competency in performing complex tasks in specialised areas of hospital pharmacy practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise large workload and have good time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Willing and able to participate in sterile (including cytotoxic) manufacturing when required.
  • Must be willing and able to work late shifts and overtime on weekends as required.
