About the role
This is a
permanent,
full-time, Monday to Friday 7.00 am to 4.00 pm position working
38 hours per week. This position is located at the
2 McIntyre Way, Bomaderry

Duties
Reporting directly to the Biosecurity Coordinator, the focus of this position is to:

Always represent Council in a professional manner when dealing with the public and other Council employees.
Carry out property inspections to identify the type and extent of priority weeds present.
Liaise with property owners to identify priority weeds on their property, recommend appropriate control measures and advise of the outcome of the inspection either verbally or by written report.
Report and make recommendations on results of property inspections to the Biosecurity Coordinator for approval of actions to be taken and regularly submit inspection reports.
Gather and, if necessary, present legal evidence that will be admissable to court in the case of legal proceedings.
Undertake weed control on Councilmanaged land such as roadsides, parks and sportsfields.
Undertake pest animal control on Council managed land.

Skills & Experience
To be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

Class C Driver's Licence.
Certificate III in Horticulture, Agriculture or Conservation and Land Management (or equivalent).
Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
