An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant (AHA) with a strong interest in acute physiotherapy and occupational therapy.


As an AHA at Western Health you will work with our acute physiotherapy and occupational therapy teams to provide care to patients with a variety of clinical presentations to improve their occupational performance, mobility and quality of life.

This role enables you to work with the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient centred care and is supported by experienced and dedicated on-site Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.


Within this Grade 3 AHA role you will provide individual therapy sessions; assist physiotherapy and occupational therapy staff in co-treatment sessions; and assist with other responsibilities which may include the management of equipment or administrative tasks.

In this role you will work collaboratively with the treating Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist to progress therapeutic interventions, provide patient education, participate in quality improvement activities, and lead student supervision.


Our departments are friendly and supportive and this is an excellent opportunity to join our extensive AHA, Physiotherapy, and Occupational Therapy teams in a well-supported role.


To be Successful in this Role you will:

  • will have Certificate III or IV Allied Health Assistant qualification, or equivalent
- will have a current Victorian driver's licence
- will have a current employee level working with children check
- will have the ability to follow instructions and work under the guidance of therapists.
- will have effective organisation, administration and time management.
- will have the ability to effectively communicate with a range of people, including patients, families/carers, and staff
