A bit about the role


As an Administration Officer within our Planning, Building and Health Department you will, provide administrative support to Building Services Department as well as outstanding customer service.

You will contribute to the success of Building Services through active teamwork and effective performance of your role.


What you'll do

  • Input data for various software packages as well as typing of correspondence, permits, forms, notices and reports
  • Maintain registers up to date and perform filing, photocopying and other administrative support functions
  • Monitor and maintain monthly debtor reports
  • Provide customer service at counter and over telephone redirecting enquiries to appropriate officer as necessary

What you'll bring

  • Relevant experience in office administration
  • Ability to effectively organise and control own workload and time to achieve specified output
  • Ability to liaise, discuss and resolve problems with customers directly or via telephone
  • Efficiency and accuracy in data entry and electronic correspondence
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
