About the role:


We are looking for an experienced and energetic
Portfolio Analyst with a strategy and governance background, based in either Brisbane or Perth to work within the Office of the CIO - Value Realisation Office (VRO).

You will be part of a team that enables IS&T to deliver strategic and customer centric value to its customers, through governance & management frameworks that support a digital and agile Transformation, coaching in lean & agile ways of working and the provision of data driven insights to support portfolio prioritisation

Reporting to the
Principal Advisor Portfolio Management, Value Realisation Office, and working within our global
Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team, you will:

  • Be committed to the safety of yourself and your team and lead by example with an ever-present growth mindset.
  • Establish, deliver and maintain IS&Ts Portfolio governance & management frameworks, practices and ways of working with the flexibility required to support a digital and agile Transformation
  • Develop Portfolio Reports, Options Papers and Executive level materials with considered insights and recommendations to support the optimisation of value delivery
  • Provide guidance, coaching and assurance over key portfolio events and processes managed by the team.
  • Provide training and guidance on Portfolio Management concepts and ways of working (Including Value Management, Lean Portfolio Management, PI Planning)
  • Facilitate key portfolio events and processes with a focus on Value Management and Business Outcomes (Annual Portfolio Planning & Prioritisation, Quarterly Business Reviews, Investment Forums).
  • Support the priorities of the VRO team, as required

What you'll bring:


  • A growth mindset and strong sense of customerfocus.
  • Excellent collaboration, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work across various regions, cultures, and time zones.
  • Experience in developing governance framework for both waterfall and agile environments at Portfolio, Programme and Project levels
  • Experience implementing Value Management
  • Experience with Scaled Agile practices, CMMI and COBIT frameworks preferred
  • Strong experience working in a complex PMO/ Portfolio Office

This role is based in either Perth or Brisbane with flexibility to work a hybrid arrangement withboth office days and work from home options.
