About the Team
The

Younger People in Residential Aged Care (YPIRAC) team is part of the newly formed YPIRAC/Hospital Interface branch of this fast-developing Federal Government Agency. The YPIRAC team provides specialised support for people with disability who are living in, or at risk of permanently entering aged care facilities. The team play a key role in the implementation of the government's YPIRAC Strategy for participants aged under 65 years. The team works with health liaison officers (HLO), Agency Policy and Mainstream Interface teams, and National Delivery.

The Hospital Interface team provides an important link between state and territory hospital staff and the Agency.

The team works with hospital staff to ensure participants who are medically ready for discharge have the right supports in place when returning to the community.

The team works with planners, participants and hospital staff.


About the Role
The

APS4 Administration Officer will provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge, and may undertake some research and analysis activities. The position will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice to resolve moderately complex enquiries.


Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Researching and responding to general enquiries and analysing documents and data.
  • Coordinating and preparing meeting minutes and papers.
  • Supporting the drafting of written communications and managing documents and databases.
  • Receiving, analysing and recording complaints and feedback.
  • Organising travel and finance reconciliation.
  • Participating in project management work as directed, supporting the delivery of work priorities.
