These records are critical and auditable data, providing enhanced strategic visibility of incident information and management in Defence.

As a team you will ensure accuracy of data entry and retrieve information in support of queries from Navy Senior Leadership.

Some of the duties of this role are:

  • Data entry and remediation.
  • Database interrogation and data manipulation to respond to Requests for Information, including Senate Estimates briefs, responses to Questions on Notice and requirements from external government agencies.
  • Create and foster functioning relationships with Navy stakeholders to achieve the information flow required for data accuracy.
  • Have a deep appreciation for privacy requirements when dealing with sensitive information.

In the next two years, you will be at the forefront of the implementation, across the Defence enterprise, of the SAP-based CASE Management System.

You will be central to the team learning this new system and exploiting its reporting and data modelling features.

About our Team
You will be a part of a small supportive team comprising Navy and APS staff.

The opportunity for career progression exists within the section and your work program will be shaped to expose you to the other activities we undertake.

The section manages a span of sensitive material, Freedom of Information requests, Navy Sensitive Issues, Past Workforce Issues, Inquiries and support to the Royal Commission for Defence and Veteran Suicides.

Team cohesion and support is a priority in this work environment, as such, mechanisms for monitoring and maintaining team member well-being are actively progressed.

We are keen to work with an individual who is motivated and able to work independently as part of a small busy team.

Respect for the sensitive and private information the team handles is essential, as is accuracy in all aspects of task completion.

The ability to not only adapt to change, but drive it will be essential as the team will be at the forefront as Navy moves to the CASE Management System.
