About You:


This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our 'Sustaining Captial Water team', with a strong pipeline of projects all over SEQ.

We are looking for a Trade qualified Mech Fitter GUN with demonstrated experience in the water/ wastewater treatment industry or similar process plant.

The role will see you work closely within our team to achieve smooth operations whilst displaying your skills.

What we need:


  • The role will consist of new construction project type work, existing asset renewals and upgrades and general maintenance._
  • Installation of Pipework, flanges, and instrumentation
  • General civil skillset, working in and around trenches, underground pipe installation
  • Shutdowns, isolation and reenergization
  • Installation of pumps, piping and associated mechanical equipment for water process

What you need:


  • Trade qualified
  • Mechanical Fitter
  • Basic understanding of civil construction with regards to working around trenches and underground equipment
  • Ability to work unsupervised, and with communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Permit to Work systems and LOTO
  • Have a basic understanding of wastewater treatment and water and sewer reticulation networks.
  • Ability to plan, organise and manage the materials required to complete tasks
  • Willingness to work in a "live sewer" environment
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • HRW licenses including Forklift, EWP and Dogging an advantage
  • Confined space entry and working at heights training an advantage
  • Have a basic understanding of Project Quality assurance processes
  • Willingness to work overtime and nights if required
  • Must have basic problemsolving skills with the ability to make decisions that influence projects outcomes
  • Hep A&B & COVID vaccinations or willingness to obtain
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Commitment to WH&S
  • A Current Driver's License
  • Be locally situated with QLD residence
