About the role:


Victoria Police is seeking a Project Officer to assist the delivery of design and construction of a new police station in Point Cook and other projects that may be designated to the program of works.


This role will work in the Property Division of Victoria Police and report to the Project Manager responsible for this project.

Your duties will include:


  • Supporting the delivery of the project using an appropriate project management methodology.
  • Providing high level administrative support.
  • Ensuring the delivery of the project is integrated within a broader capital works program and the delivery of related organisational priorities.
  • Supporting the procurement of project consultants and contractors including architect, builder, engineer, and planning and other specialists.
  • Support project resources including Victoria Police employees, contractors, and consultants.
  • Support project governance and reporting.
  • Effective engagement with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders including police, executives, delivery partners and others.
  • Contributing to a positive work environment.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience working in a project environment, preferably within capital works.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or professional accreditations.
  • Experience working in a team environment.

Requirements and relevant information:


  • One (1) x fulltime, fixedterm position until 30 June 2026 available.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands however regular site visits will be essential.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo preemployment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
