Coregas has a full-time opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team based in Port Kembla. This role will be responsible for performing maintenance, fabrication and installation work as directed by the Supply Chain Maintenance
Co-ordinator at Port Kembla.


What you will be doing

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all production plant, distribution equipment by monitoring, maintaining, and repairing production equipment in accordance with MEX (inhouse maintenance planning system) and at intervals requested. This includes isolation and return of plant and equipment as necessary.
  • Ensure work orders are executed on time and documentation is complete for work order close out.
  • Maintain spares and prepare equipment for supply chain purposes. Raise purchase orders for parts and spares as required.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunction and resolve issues.
  • Organise despatch of spares as required.
  • Assist the team with monthly workshop housekeeping efforts.

What we need from you

  • Trade qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related trade
  • Have gained a minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance roles, preferably in the industrial gas industry
  • Basic workshop drawing skills
  • Be able to occasionally travel to other Coregas branches to assist in maintenance or project tasksas required
  • Previous experience within the Industrial Gas or chemical industry is highly desirable.
