Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Leadership: As Clinical Dean
  • General Practice, you'll ensure the delivery of highquality and engaging clinical placements for our senior medical students.
  • Comprehensive Coordination: From overseeing earlyyear clinical experiences to recruiting a diverse network of GPs for placements, you'll ensure every aspect of the student experience is enriching and seamless.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the integrity of learning across various sites, drive curriculum improvements, and provide essential pastoral care to support student wellbeing.
  • Academic Contribution: Engage in the creation of examination materials, assessments, and potentially in general practicebased teaching research.

Who we're looking for:


  • Qualified Professionals: With a Medicine degree, AHPRA registration, and FRACGP or FACRRM credentials.
  • Experienced Educators: Demonstrated success in supervising medical students in clinical environments.
  • Skilled Communicators: Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster relationships and lead with impact.
  • Research Enthusiasts: A background in general practice research is highly valued.

The Curtin Medical School (CMS) includes the disciplines of Medicine, Laboratory Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical Science, and Medical Radiation Science.

CMS forms part of the Faculty of Health Sciences and is affiliated with two research institutes; the Curtin Health Innovation Research Institute (CHIRI) and the enAble Institute for Health Science (enAble).

The discipline of medicine headquarters is based out of a dedicated building on the University Bentley campus with tailored clinical teaching and simulation facilities.
