Department of Mechanical Engineering

  • This position is currently located at the Hawthorn campus but the incumbent may be required to undertake duties at any of the University's campuses
  • Annual stipend $33,000 for three years (with possible 6 month extension).

About the Scholarship


They will be enthusiastic, well-organized, and have excellent oral and written communication skills, as evidenced by publications, including in peer-reviewed journals.

An ability to work autonomously and to be self-directed in learning, as well as contributing to team activities and discussions, will be necessary for the successful completion of this PhD.


About you
To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • An appropriate undergraduate, or Masters, degree in a related disciplines (e.g. computer engineering, EE, or robotics).
  • Professional experience in computer vision and AI.
  • Programming skills with python.
  • A valid working with children's check card (or ability to obtain prior to or upon commencement).
