The role


We are seeking a Trade Qualified, skilled Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker to join our very busy team based out of Dandenong, Victoria.

This position will focus on performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a range of specialist Sandvik Crushing and Screening equipment.

This will include the subcomponents, hydraulic, and automation systems.


Such tasks may include:

  • Service inspections to assist in continuous machine running
  • Preventative maintenance and service repairs
  • Hydraulic repair and troubleshooting
  • Automation setup maintenance and troubleshooting
  • OEM Training and support


In this role you will also be involved in many new installations and will join the Installation and commissioning team to ensure these projects are executed safely, and efficiently.


To be successful in this role you will need to be an enthusiastic and skilled performing Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker (or trade equivalent) wanting to join our Crushing and Screening Service team based in Dandenong.


The role will work on a 5/2 roster from Dandenong location, and you will be required to travel to various customer sites as required to meet all Technical Requirements.


Areas of responsibility

  • Perform fault diagnosis, maintain, and repair crushing and screening mining equipment
  • Identify faults in the mechanical configuration of various mobile systems
  • Maintain and assist with machine audits/inspections test reports, documentation
  • General machine maintenance on customer sites
  • Adhere to all policies & procedures especially the EHS policies
  • Work effectively either in a team environment or autonomously
  • Provide technical guidance and training to the workgroup as necessary.
  • Liaise with third parties and customers as necessary to ensure work flows smoothly.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and encourage a strong safety culture
  • Forward plan and adjust to customers problems & support with addressing daily issues

Your Profile

  • Relevant Trade Qualification
  • Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker
  • Experience or exposure to crushers and screens in similar role would be looked upon favourable
  • Strong customer service and communication skills motivation to achieve targets and goals
  • Ability to think outside the box and find solutions
  • Positive attitude and a high level of drive to achieve targets set for customer satisfaction
  • Proactive, selfmotivated and demonstrate initiative
  • Ability to work effectively, either in a team environment or autonomously
  • Basic computer and IT skills and literacy
  • Ability to pass drug & alcohol test, reference checks
  • Commitment to safe work practices and strong proven safety culture
  • Valid Australian driver's license (compulsory)
