Greencross Vets Coburg, located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, is only 40 minutes from Melbourne CBD and a quick 5 minute drive to the beautiful Darebin Creek Forest Park. There are numerous cafes, restaurants, parks, shops and attractions to discover all within a close proximity. Greencross Coburg is conveniently located in a busy Petbarn store so clients/shoppers have easy access to both store and clinic.

Our Coburg team is a close-knit and fun team consisting of 4 nurses and 4 vets. We work closely with Greencross Preston with many staff working across both sites. We are extremely driven and hardworking; we believe a 'can-do' attitude goes a long way and make sure we are always supporting one another in every way we can. We pride ourselves on our focus on communication and as a result we host regular team and vet meetings as well as regular casual on-on-one sessions. We also firmly believe a good laugh can do wonders and consequently coffee runs as well as take-away lunches, pizza and trivia nights are regular occurrences.

Job Description

As the Veterinary Director, you would be responsible for overseeing the overall clinical operations of the practice, including managing the veterinary team, ensuring excellent patient care, and maintaining strong client relationships. Additionally, you would have the opportunity to take on business leadership roles and contribute to the growth and development of the clinic, taking it to the next era of veterinary medicine.

Using evidence-based diagnoses, therapies and recommended courses of treatment, you are empowered to manage your cases while being supported by emergency and after-hours hospitals, which means that we are able to offer overnight care to our patients and easy patient referrals, to avoid placing additional stress on our team and to ensure that a healthy work-life balance is maintained.

Qualifications

This role is best suited to a Veterinarian with at least 4 years practical experience. Clinical leadership and management skills desired but not essential as we will mentor you

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Veterinary Science qualifications from a university accredited by the Australasian Veterinary Boards' Council (AVBC) and/or have completed NAVLE, AVE or alike examinations. For further information, please refer to
