Job Description Summary

  • From $88,589 to $97,787 (HEW 6) p.a. plus 17% super and annual leave loading
  • Fulltime, Fixed Term contract until 30/06/202
  • Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde.

THE ROLE


The Student Engagement Officer provides advice and administrative support to students and staff and contribute to the coordination of student events and campaigns in line with engagement and belonging strategy.


Key Accountabilities- Provide administrative and event coordination and support to the Graduation and Student Engagement team.- Coordinate the implementation of student engagement plans and strategies in consultation with Manager Graduations and Student Engagement- Coordinate external suppliers and internal stakeholders the team engages with in relation to the planning and execution of graduations and major events.- Provide advice and support to staff and students on Graduation administration systems, policies, procedures and processes- Review and manage Graduation on-line transactions and requests and related administration activities.- Liaise with faculty staff to organise and coordinate the Graduation proceedings and resolve any exceptions to standard procedure- Update and maintain relevant student webpages.- Identify, recommend, contribute to the development of and collaborate with other staff to implement improvements to the Graduation administration policies, systems, processes and procedures, and the experience of these for students and staff.- Research and collate information to support the development of strategic goals of the Graduations and Student Engagement team.- Provide coaching and support to Student Engagement Assistants and casual staff.- Collect and analyse Graduate information post ceremony series and manage distribution of information.- Assist with feedback collection and evaluation of student engagement campaigns and major events.- Assist with management of Graduation ceremonial processes procedures.- Provide support to volunteers.- Provide support to other Student Engagement teams to deal with peak periods and major events such as orientation.

To Apply- Degree or equivalent experience in business or related discipline.- Knowledge of the Australian higher education system.- Knowledge of student/customer engagement projects and programs.- Knowledge of the University's policies and processes relating to completions and graduation eligibility.- Experience contributing to continuous service improvement and transformation initiatives.- Extensive experience successfully administering, coordinating and implementing student events and engagement initiatives.- Experience analysing and reporting on data and complex business processes.- Strong customer service focus and ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
