    About the role

    This is a full-time 12 month fixed-term opportunity located at Stanwell Power Station.

    The role will actively support the development and implementation of community relations and communication advice and support in ways that are transparent to internal and external stakeholders, reflect changing societal expectations and are aligned with Stanwell's vision, corporate strategy and values.

    Responsibilities include:

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement engagement strategies across the lifecycle of our operations, projects, and programs, including managing any community complaints or concerns about operations and projects.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment of stakeholder engagement activities with Stanwell's strategy and objectives and ensure continuous improvement of Stakeholder Engagement processes and practices.
  • Liaise with a broad range of key stakeholders in the local community including landholders, Traditional Owners & First Nations representative bodies, industry and business development groups, local government, elected representatives, Stanwell employees and contractors and community members.
  • Maintain our stakeholder engagement systems, identifying and monitoring trends, issues, sentiment, and requests.
  • About you

  • Sound knowledge of communications and stakeholder engagement including community relations, indigenous relations, issues management and government relations principles.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to function as an active member of a multi-skilled team, manage complex issues, lead, influence, negotiate and deliver outcomes within agreed budgets and timeframes.
  • Demonstrated experience in building relationships with diverse groups including Traditional Owners and managing the implementation of native title and cultural heritage agreements.
  • Experience within government agency, consulting engineering or other exposure to the infrastructure or resources industry.
