About the role


Take the next step in your career by developing your skills in psychology, public health, social sciences or implementation science.

You will have the opportunity to work across many different research projects exploring donor health, behaviour, motivations and attitudes to blood donation; the social context of donation, and donor health and wellbeing.


The primary function of your role will be to coordinate participant recruitment and data collection by virtually working with staff in blood donation centres and other researchers in Lifeblood.

You will also get the opportunity to work across other donor health and behaviour projects.


Sound interesting? Here's the experience required:
Honours degree in psychology or social science

At least 2 years' experience in a life science research role that included project co-ordination and participant recruitment


Demonstrated experience collecting, cleaning, analysing and reporting qualitative and quantitative research data, including familiarity statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R or equivalent).

Track record with electronic data capture systems e.g. REDCap, Qualtrics or a similar survey tool.


Proven experience engaging with a wide range of individuals, including research participants, other researchers, internal or external stakeholders, and external collaborators.

Experience with the preparation and dissemination of interim and final reports, papers, manuscripts, and conference presentations

Experience conducting literature searches and reviews


This is a full-time, fixed-term role for 12-months with a possibility of extension and can be based from our Melbourne or Brisbane offices with a hybrid working from home and office model available.

You will report directly to a senior member of the Clinical & Donor Research Team.
