Administration Officer - Professional Experience Placement

The Opportunity


The Administration Officer - Professional Experience Placement (PEP) works across the School of Nursing, School of Health Sciences, and the School of Paramedicine
within the College of Health and Medicine.


The Professional team across the School's four campuses deliver a wide range of administrative and support service functions, including online and face-to-face teaching, and contribute to a student-focused service model in academic operations, simulation facilities and Professional Experience Placement.

The Administration Officer - Professional Experience Placement (PEP) will join the dynamic NSW Placements team managing placements for students across NSW within the College of Health and Medicine.


Under direction of the PEP Coordinator NSW, the Administration Officer - Professional Experience Placement (PEP) will undertake a broad range of administrative activities related to the placement of students with industry partners.

The role will include advice and guidance to students to ensure that they meet University, industry partner, jurisdictional and professional accreditation body compliance requirements, thus ensuring students are safe to enter practice.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Work with the Professional Experience Placement Coordinator NSW to ensure the smooth operation of the PEP process for students, staff, and industry partners.
  • Use and access professional experience placement management systems within and external to the University, in accordance with the UTAS and College of Health and Medicine guidelines.
  • Coordinate all compliance requirements for students (including direct follow up with students) undertaking PEP to ensure they meet the University, industry partner, jurisdictional and accreditation body compliance requirements.
  • Follow the timeline of compliance activities within individual disciplines and provide regular reports.
  • Utilise the University's student management systems to obtain student enrolment records, and access data within the system to ensure efficiency of student placement processes.

Your Application

  • Completion of a relevant Diploma level qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills including the ability to priorities tasks, process high volume tasks efficiently and effectively, and deliver outcomes to strict deadlines.
  • Proven ability to perform administration tasks with a high degree of accuracy, and to prioritise workloads, with an understanding of appropriate times to refer and escalate enquiries when required.
  • Interpersonal, oral and written communication and client service skills including the ability to liaise with staff, students, and partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously in a team environment, contributing to team planning and shared tasks with confidence and sensitivity towards others.

Remuneration


Appointment to this role will be at HEO 4 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $86,321 comprising base salary within the range of $69,646 to $73,779 plus 17% superannuation.
