Food Manufacturing Maintenance Fitter

  • Full Time permanent position


  • Shift

  • Day Shift, Monday
  • Friday 7AM3:30PM
  • Hourly rate
- $48ph+ Paid Lunch + Allowance

  • All in equivalent to $51.58ph
- $102k + Super + OT

  • OT rate
- time and half for first 2 hours, double time after that

  • Every second Saturday 7AM3PM, at OT rates
  • Must be Citizen or PR
We're looking to hire a permanent Maintenance Fitter on behalf of our client, a successful, well known, food manufacturer. Due to the nature of the role, a background in food manufacturing maintenance is essential.

The company produces arrange of supermarket sold small goods and have high standards in the quality of their products and stuff.


The role


As a skilled Food Manufacturing Maintenance Fitter, the role will have you undertake a variety of tasks ranging from project work & insulations through to preventative maintenance, breakdowns, troubleshooting, and problem solving.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the daytoday efficient running of Plant Equipment.
  • Maintenance of plant and equipment inc; Preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnostics and fault finding.
  • Process improvement of plant and equipment.
  • Pipework and valves.
  • Process pumps.
  • Screw and belt conveyors.
  • Boiler and steam equipment.
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Operate & Service Machinery.
  • Provide technical support to the production team.
  • Promote and adhere to Quality, OHS, GMP and HACCP guidelines.

Experience:


  • Trade Qualified with a minimum of 4 years maintenance experience in a similar role in Manufacturing environments.
  • Experience using CMMS systems.
  • Hands on with an enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Work autonomously and be a selfstarter to be a part of an engaged team.
  • Forklift licence is an advantage.
