To further reinforce our commitment, we are seeking an experienced professional to lead our efforts in ensuring adherence to our University Code of Conduct and related policies.


As the Integrity and Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing staff adherence to the principles and obligations outlined in the University Code of Conduct and interdependent policies.

Your primary responsibilities will involve developing and implementing the University's Code of Conduct Program, including the necessary governance, management practices, and systems to strengthen compliance across the institution and will include:


  • Developing and implementing a robust Code of Conduct Program that reinforces our commitment to integrity and compliance. By focusing on conflictofinterest declarations, mandatory compliance training, and providing actionable information to reduce integrityrelated risks, you will have a significant impact on the University's ethical practices.
  • Creating effective processes, tools, and materials that managers and University leaders will rely on to support the successful rollout of the Code of Conduct Program. Your innovative contributions will be instrumental in monitoring and reporting program effectiveness.
  • Engaging with internal stakeholders, working closely with staff and managers, and establishing strong communication channels with departments such as Human Resources, Research Integrity, Legal and Compliance. Using these working relationships, you will ensure that the University's commitment to integrity and compliance is understood and upheld across the organisation.
This Fixed Term position is full time until January 2026 at a HEW 8 Higher Education Level and will be based at Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land)

About the Unit
The Compliance Team oversees the University's compliance with its obligations through coordination and management of the Compliance Management Framework.

The team provides ongoing support, advice and solutions to business units and schools across the University to develop robust compliance practices and leads coordinated responses to new or updated high-impact legislative obligations.

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and or education/training.
  • Indepth knowledge of laws, regulations and industry standards relevant to compliance obligations for a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and influencing others to foster a culture of compliance.
  • Ability to design, develop and implement compliance solutions across a complex organisation aligning people, technology and process.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and capacity to build relationships and an interdisciplinary way of working. Demonstrated ability to work with crossfunctional teams and delivering expected outcomes within deadlines.
