Venues NSW is a commerically focused agency of the NSW Government, encompassing the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium as well as major sporting and cultural stadiums and precincts in Sydney, Olympic Park, Parramatta, Newcastle and Wollongong.

The network of stadiums and entertainment centres host in excess of 5 million people a year at more than 500 events and is a key contributor to the economy.


Venues NSW takes an intergrated approach to our stadia and entertainment centres by developing partnerships with sporting codes, the entertainment and event industry, audiences, local businesses, NSW Government agencies and community groups.

Our network throughout NSW allows us to combine internal resources and harness a vast employee skillset all of which helps us deliver key projects and secure outstanding content.


ABOUT THE ROLE
Venues NSW was formed in December 2020 and is a commercially focused arm of the NSW Government.

We collaborate closely with Destination NSW, major sporting codes and promoters to excite and entertain the people of NSW with a rich and varied calendar of major events.

This role is based at the Moore Park headquarters of Venues NSW with travel to other Sydney venues and regional venues required.


Reporting to the Security Systems Manager, the Security Systems Coordinator will work closely with staff and build relationships with internal departments, external stakeholders, on-site contractors, tenants, and external agencies.


The Security Systems Coordinator will be responsible for processing helpdesk tickets, monitoring the health of and providing training in all of our security systems including video management, electronic access control, two-way radio, incident reporting and key systems.


The Security Systems Coordinator is not merely a role; it's a commitment to safeguarding the organisation, its assets, and all its stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU


You are an appropriately licensed electronic security professional who embraces the evolving nature of security and are committed to continuous education and adaption.

You are a problem-solver and are able to cultivate that mindset in your peers. Your approach to issues is methodical and innovative.
To be considered for this opportunity, it is essential that the applicants have:

  • Technical expertise: Continually hone skills and deepen knowledge of the latest tools and systems.
  • Effective communication: Tailor communication based on the audience, ensuring clarity and comprehension.
  • Detailoriented approach: In the realm of security, overlooked minutiae can manifest as vulnerabilities. Cultivate an innate attention to detail.
  • Licensing: Must possess a valid NSW Security License with classes 1E,2BC.
  • Education: Either already have a Certificate II in Technical Security (CPP20319) or be willing to obtain it within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Enterprise Experience: Demonstrated experience with enterprise electronic security systems is essential. Familiarity with platforms and products such as Genetec, Avigilon, C-Cure, Integriti, Cliq, Tecom, TRBOnet, Motorola, and Noggin is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: While it's beneficial to have certifications in Genetec, C-Cure, Avigilon and Integriti, it provides an added advantage and showcases specialised expertise in these platforms.
  • Flexibility in work hours including weekends, public holidays and out of hour work.
