The Opportunity:


As Technical Work Package Manager, you are responsible for supporting the Client's Technology Planning Function within the Technology Strategy, Architecture and Planning team.

The core objectives of the Technology Planning function are to:

  • Improve visibility of demand on technology resources by proactively engaging with projects to identify technology-enabled work packages
  • Provide projects with a clear view on the capability and cost of resources to deliver against technologyenabled work packages
  • Own and communicate the short term and longterm plans for program and project related resourcing demand
  • Improve responsiveness of technology delivery within projects through continuous planning of resourcing needs and identification of optimal resourcing options to deliver agreed ICT work packages.

What your day will look like:

  • Liaise with Program Managers and Project Managers to understand the technology-related work packages required to support program and project delivery
  • Facilitate Tiger Team workshops with technical specialists to define work package scope against project needs
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for work packages, outlining the resource requirement, indicative cost, quality, priority, timeframes, and risks
  • Coordinate resourcing to support demand planning for successful technology related work package delivery
  • Track and map the progress of technology work packages against a master plan
  • Identify synergies to optimise delivery of work packages and WBS elements
  • Effectively manage conflicts, change requests, priorities, risks and issues across technology work packages
  • Develop, maintain, and own the overall technology resourcing plans (short term and long term)

  • An Information Technology degree from an Australian Tertiary Institution or equivalent experience in a Technical domain.
  • PRINCE2 certification or relevant project management experience
  • Experience_
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Technical Lead or Technical Project Manager
