Manage and maintain the assets of a Council based in NSW

  • Develop and drive asset improvement initiatives for the Council
  • Plan and implement costeffective and quality operations for the Council wide

About the role:


  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the council's asset management plan
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies and plans
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Monitor and report on the performance of assets
  • Manage the lifecycle of all assets including planning, acquisition, operation, and disposal
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to ensure the reliability and availability of equipment and infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and make recommendations for improvement

Duties:


  • Lead and mentor the team and provide technical advice on asset management issues
  • Identify and prioritize asset maintenance and replacement activities
  • Monitor asset performance and make recommendations for improvements
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the efficient use of assets
  • Provide management information by monitoring estimates of cost
  • Ensure regular monitoring of work health and safety performance

Skills and experience:


  • Tertiary qualifications at AQF Level 5 (Diploma) or above in Asset Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent vocation
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing asset management plans
  • Understanding of GIS system management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to manage and motivate staff
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Commitment to the principles of workplace health and safety (WHS)
