About the role:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the council's asset management plan
- Develop and implement asset management strategies and plans
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Monitor and report on the performance of assets
- Manage the lifecycle of all assets including planning, acquisition, operation, and disposal
- Develop and implement asset management strategies to ensure the reliability and availability of equipment and infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures
- Conduct regular performance reviews and make recommendations for improvement
Duties:
- Lead and mentor the team and provide technical advice on asset management issues
- Identify and prioritize asset maintenance and replacement activities
- Monitor asset performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure the efficient use of assets
- Provide management information by monitoring estimates of cost
- Ensure regular monitoring of work health and safety performance
Skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications at AQF Level 5 (Diploma) or above in Asset Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent vocation
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing asset management plans
- Understanding of GIS system management
- Demonstrated leadership skills to manage and motivate staff
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Commitment to the principles of workplace health and safety (WHS)
