Our team of eighty plus staff deliver services in the areas of audit & assurance, business advisory, wealth advisory, personal taxation and superannuation, as well as business, taxation and not-for-profit advisory and consulting.


Purpose of the position
A bookkeeper to join our well established team of bookkeepers and provide bookkeeping services to our clients. The role involves collaborating with our accountants in the business advisory team.


Responsibilities
Performing work for our clients including;

  • Processing accounts payable invoices and creating payments
  • Reconciling bank transactions in the accounting system
  • Processing payroll on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis
  • Preparing monthly/quarterly IAS and BAS
  • Visiting clients onsite (although most of the work will be completed at our office)
  • Communicating with clients to obtain information/documentation or update job statuses
  • Building client and staff relations
  • Attending training and team meetings
  • Staying up to date with changes to accounting software

Skills and Capabilities

  • Technical bookkeeping knowledge.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Maintain certification for Xero and QuickBooks Online.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive and "Can do" attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate an ability to exercise initiative and discretion

Qualifications and prior experience
years prior experience as a bookkeeper

  • Experience with relevant software i.e., Xero and QuickBooks Online
